Bio
Paul Marchand oversees all human resources activity for the 95,000 employees who make up Charter’s entirely U.S.-based workforce. Since joining the Company as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer in 2015, Paul has led recruiting, learning and development, HR systems, and compensation and benefits. In late 2023, his responsibilities expanded to include diversity and inclusion, community impact, and corporate physical security.

Early in his tenure, Paul led the extensive workforce integration efforts following the Company’s 2016 transactions with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. Additionally, he supported the 2022 CEO succession, managed the Company’s COVID-19 response and served as a key architect of Charter’s initiative to meaningfully expand investment in its employees. The initiative began with the 2020 announcement the Company would raise its starting minimum wage to $20 an hour. More enhancements followed, including self-guided career growth opportunities and an expanded education program featuring tuition-free undergraduate degrees and professional certifications.

Paul came to Charter from PepsiCo, where he spent 12 years in increasingly senior HR positions and ultimately served as Senior
Vice President of Human Resources for the North America beverages division. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of human
resources roles with Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and May Department Stores.

In 2023, Paul was named HR Executive of the Year by Cablefax. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University.
