Kris spent nearly two decades in Texas public education as a teacher, coach, curriculum director, and campus principal before returning to his retail roots and joining H-E-B in 2010. After spending many years running a variety of stores, he joined H-E-B Talent Development as the Career Programs Leader, where he redesigned the company's approach to management and leadership development. In 2022, Kris was asked to shift his focus to creating an entirely new Education Programs strategy, focusing primarily on foundational needs to build Partner (H-E-B employee) confidence and encourage them to pursue personal and professional goals they previously thought were unattainable.
