David Mafe is the chief diversity officer for UCHealth and vice president of human resources for the system’s Metro Denver region.
As the Chief Diversity Officer, Mr. Mafe works closely with leaders at UCHealth and in the community to shape the organization’s culture to be one that values diversity and inclusion. In his role as Vice President of Human Resources, he provides strategic human resources advice to the executive team and oversees all human resources operations in the Metro Denver region.
Mr. Mafe is committed to diminishing inequities for patients, employees and providers. He works with his team to advance diversity, equity and inclusion while driving a cultural transformation.
Mr. Mafe received his Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts from Hawaii Loa College, and his master’s degree in human resource management from Hawaii Pacific University. He completed the Senior Professional Human Resource Certification (SPHR) and is a certified “Just Culture Champion”.
