David Futrell is the founder and CEO of Workplace Science. He has extensive experience in measuring and improving employee performance in corporations His previous positions include service as the Senior Director of Organization Performance at Walmart where he led the selection and assessment strategy for all non-executive positions, designing and implementing a performance management system for more than 2M employees, and redesigning Walmart’s associate engagement survey.

Previously, David was a Workforce Research Advisor at Eli Lilly and Company. He was also served as an adjunct faculty member at Butler University teaching organizational behavior and statistics in the MBA program from 2004-2014.

He received his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee/Knoxville and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Murray State University.
