Megan Lessard is the VP of People Acquisition and Inclusion at Sunrun. She is an HR executive with over 20 years of experience in both the technology and energy sectors. She has experience in software startups, large enterprises such as Siemens and Microsoft and has most recently spent seven years in various leadership roles at Sunrun, the nation's largest residential solar company.

Her areas of experience include: people business partnering, people analytics, talent development, learning, people acquisition, and diversity and inclusion. She has also played key roles in integration during multiple acquisitions at Siemens, Microsoft and Sunrun and loves to be a part of building new culture in a changing organization.

One of her areas of passion include growing and developing teams. She finds the “5 Dysfunctions of Team” work to be highly effective and rewarding and prides herself on driving trust, healthy conflict and commitment building into each organization she works in and partners with.

She is equally committed to supporting employees in every step of their career growth and regularly mentors multiple employees in their early career stages. She is passionate about career development and continuing education and is excited by Sunrun’s strategic relationship with Guild and the impact it has on the career paths of Sunrunners and for Sunrun! In particular, she is excited by the high % of women and minorities in the program to help grow employees. She cares deeply about progress in driving gender and black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) parity in leadership positions at Sunrun!

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the beautiful outdoors in Denver where she lives with her husband, five children and dog Charlie. You can find her running, biking, or skiing most weekends!
